However, its effectiveness comes with trade-offs, including a slow attack speed, placement restrictions limiting it to elevated areas of the map, and high costs for upgrades as the game progresses. Despite these challenges, its strengths shine, especially for new players looking for a dependable and impactful tower to anchor their strategy.

Upgrades


The top path transforms the tower into a hard-hitting powerhouse, granting significantly higher damage per shot and a unique passive ability to deal double damage to boss units. While this sounds impressive, its practical use is limited, as boss units only appear in the final wave (or two with the buffed waves modifier enabled). Additionally, the higher cost of this crosspath makes it a less appealing investment, especially when compared to other towers that offer more consistent value for boss damage throughout a match. Ultimately, this path struggles to justify its price tag and situational effectiveness.


The bottom path enhances the tower with significantly increased range and attack speed, alongside a powerful ability that temporarily doubles its attack rate. This combination allows the tower to deliver more overall damage to targets compared to its top path, especially when its ability is used strategically. While it stands out as the more versatile option, this path also retains the capability to unleash a devastating burst of damage on high-priority threats, making it an adaptable and reliable choice for dealing with various challenges in a match.
